vCharter Pro Is Now vFoglight
Vizioncore’s enterprise-class monitoring solution, vCharter Pro, has been renamed vFoglight in order to signal a redesign to a console/cartridge architecture that will allow companies to add resource-intensive application monitoring functionality as needed. This solution retains all the features, including a single "pane-of-glass" view into all the virtualisation layers, intelligent alerting, reporting, migration modelling and predictive storage that Vizioncore customers know and love, but they have added several new key features.
New and upcoming features include:
- Application monitoring capabilities initially for Microsoft Active Directory, SQL Server and Exchange to allow users to monitor and drill through to metrics at the application layer.
- Improved reporting, trending and alerting functions.
- Drill down to the guest OS feature.
- Chargeback capability (available Q4 2008) including tiered flat rate, resource utilization and direct cost models.
- Single "pane-of-glass" view into application layers as well as multiple VirtualCenters.
