Microsoft contributes to Linux

Microsoft’s recent work on the Hyper-V driver is said to have contributed considerably to the recent Linux kernel development.

A large amount of the work has centred on providing drivers for Microsoft’s own Hyper-V virtualization technology.

This is a partnership many thought wouldn’t be possible due to tensions between the two organisations in previous years.

Linux is a not-for-profit organisation which develops and maintains the open-source Linux kernel, with the help of funding from companies such as HP and Novell.

BCNS are partners of Microsoft, Novell and HP and supply our customers with their software and products.
